Program Coordinator

Type: Full-Time

Department: Household Stability Team

The Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Lancaster County is seeking a dedicated and responsible, full-time, Program Coordinator. The primary role is to build and support a team who focus on the whole person to equip low-income families to overcome poverty and thrive. The program coordinator leads the team and creates systems and experiences to meet the objectives of the program and partnership.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises the Parent Navigators, ensures the team meets the expectations of the program and contract with SDoL. In partnership with CAP Senior Leadership manages program budget
  • Creates and maintains a quality assurance system for client files
  • Generates monthly outcome report to share with CAP and SDoL as a tool to monitor program objectives, success and barriers
  • Researches and implements best practices for the program with specific focus on the needs of young parents and young children
  • Leads the planning process for student groups, summer programming and program activities
  • Connects to other community programs to ensure viable partnerships are developed to enhance program delivery
  • Facilitate team meetings to include supportive supervision with team monthly. In addition, is available for case consultation and parent crisis needs
  • Fosters positive working relationships with SDoL administration and school staff
  • Explore innovated strategies for parent engagement (multi-generational approach)
  • Utilize Empower Lancaster and E-schools data system to capture client data and goal planning.

Skills and Experience

Education, Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years’ experience working in Human Services or similar field, preferred
  • Experience working with low income families and community services, preferred
  • Experience leading a team and success managing service programs, preferred
  • Proven track record of maintaining positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to develop a sense of community with staff and customers
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in the face of other people’s distress
  • Ability to develop a supportive, empowering culture for diverse members of the community
  • Valid driver’s license and must possess vehicle and be able to travel to various locations throughout Lancaster County
  • Strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends based on customers’ availability
  • Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
