Domestic Violence Services is excited to launch our 2023 partnership campaign. DVS serves nearly 2,000 local victims and survivors every year, and support from our community ensures a safe, healthy community where everyone can thrive.
Your partnership provides trauma-informed services through emergency shelter at the Safe House, supportive transitional living at Bridge House, gratis legal support at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, prevention education for young people, community counseling across the County, and a 24/7 telephone hotline and textline.
We hope you will consider supporting DVS by becoming a sponsor, attending an event, telling your story, scheduling a circle of support or simply amplifying the importance of this critical work across your network.

We are proud to celebrate individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the DVS mission beyond the requirements of professional work to be a catalyst to end domestic violence in Lancaster County through direct service, advocacy or social change efforts.
The selection of the Award winner will be made by a committee comprised of members of the DVS Advisory Committee, the DVS Leadership Team/Staff, the Special Events committee and the DV Awareness Month committee.
Each nomination will be considered on its own merits, but also in relationship to other nominations submitted. If the selection committee determines that there is no clear winner or that no nomination meets the established standards, an Award may not be presented for that year.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 6, 2023. CLICK HERE to make a nomination
DVS “Circles of Support”
DVS is a catalyst to end domestic violence in Lancaster County through direct service, advocacy and social change. As a catalyst for change we seek to build and deepen our partnerships and support throughout Lancaster County to better support survivors and ultimately, to achieve a safer community.
We hope that you will join us on this very important mission!
Circle conversations have deep roots in many cultures around the world. Circles are used to make decisions, create accountability, and build community. The women who started the movement to end domestic violence originally gathered around kitchen tables offering support to one another, problem-solving, and organizing their communities to address this critical issue.
In 2022 DVS will return to our roots in the movement through Circles of Support. This is an opportunity for DVS staff members to get to know our neighbors and our community through small group conversations. We will talk about domestic violence, the challenges that survivors face, the resources they need to achieve safety, stability and wellness, and how we as a community can collectively support them.
Please invite us to talk with your neighborhood or community group, service organization, faith-based group, workplace, or other affinity groups. There is no financial commitment to host a Circle of Support… and many ways that you can get involved! You can learn more about these opportunities by contacting Angela Keen, Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator, at akeen@caplanc.org OR CLICK HERE.
