At Domestic Violence Services (DVS) of Lancaster County, our highly trained expert advocates are available 24/7 to talk confidentially with anyone in Lancaster County who is experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship.
DVS provides lifesaving tools and immediate support to empower victims and survivors to find safety and live free of abuse. We also provide support to friends and family members who are concerned about a loved one. Resources and help can be found by calling 717-299-1249.
If it’s not safe for you to call, or if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, another option for getting direct help is to use our text service. You’ll receive the same one-on-one, real-time, confidential support from a trained advocate as you would on the phone. Text SAFE to 61222.

Domestic Violence Services (DVS) of Lancaster County, a program of the Community Action Partnership (CAP), is a catalyst to eliminate domestic violence through direct service, advocacy, and social change. Over the past forty-three years, 75,593 survivors of abuse have receiced 379,513 nights of shelter and 572,050 hours of counseling, among other supportive services.
