Amanda Burns is the Chief Strategy Officer for the Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County. She leads strategy development across the organization and identifies new opportunities and innovations to further the agency’s vision. Her experience and leadership is focused on building an equitable community, listening to the voices of families, and centering workplace culture.
Previously, Amanda was responsible for leading the organization’s vision for equitable access to early learning as the Vice President of Education. Her impact increased services to the community by 10% through 2 early learning center expansions. Additionally, she was one of the founders of First 10 of Lancaster County and founded Lancaster County’s first pre-k STEM classroom at Millersville University as a strategy to support parenting students through a whole-family (two-generation) approach.
Amanda is married with three children. She has a Masters in Education Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education and a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Millersville University. She also serves as a Board of Directors for the Together Initiative Network.
