If you are an expectant mother who is eligible for Medical Assistance, Healthy Beginnings Plus (HBP) is a free program we offer to help you have a healthy pregnancy and give your baby a good start in life. As a participant in HBP you will have a healthcare team dedicated to your individual needs. Your team will include a doctor or certified nurse midwife, a nurse care coordinator, and a social worker.
HBP helps assure you and your baby receive the best medical care possible. In addition to checkups, we offer childbirth, exercise, nutrition, and breastfeeding classes.

With an unwavering commitment to serve more families with comprehensive services, meet their unique needs and create transformational change across generations, Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First have joined together to create a more holistic continuum of care for families and children experiencing the effects of poverty and adversity.
The families who participate in these two voluntary home visitation programs have a strong desire to overcome the challenges they face and change the trajectory of their lives and the lives of their children. We are working side-by-side to create positive change, including improved individual, family and population health outcomes for communities across the country.

Lead-Free Families is a community health initiative of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health aimed at creating a strong pathway to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in Lancaster County.
It is the first comprehensive childhood lead poisoning prevention program in the United States to be initially funded entirely by a health system. LG Health has committed to investing $50 million over 10 years to identify and remediate lead health hazards in at least 2,800 homes across the county.
