Inaugural Giving Trail – A Christmas in July Event

Lancaster Gift Box, in collaboration with The Common Wheel Community Center & Shop, and Decades, lead an effort to raise food, funds, and awareness for local nonprofits.

Save the Dates: 7/28 & 7/29

What: The Giving Trail is taking place on Friday July 28th and Saturday July 29th. It begins at Lancaster Gift Box and ends at Decades. Everyone (18+) is welcome to participate and can do so by making a non-perishable food donation at Lancaster Gift Box, The Common Wheel, and finally at Decades. Participants who get their Giving Trail Passport stamped at each business will be entered to win a Gift Tower filled with artisanal local treats, gift cards and funky swag.

The Giving Trail food drive will benefit CAP-Community Action Partnership. The initiative will also help raise funds for Eight local nonprofits (listed below.) And, Decades will be throwing a Christmas in July celebration with special holiday cocktails & a visit from Santa Claus.

Why July?: To maximize the impact. Demand for food assistance in Lancaster County is at an all time high right now. Gabriel Luber cofounder of Lancaster Gift Box said, “We hope to ignite awareness & help raise a lot of food and funds for local food pantries and nonprofits.”

Schedule of Events:

Friday, July 28th: Giving Trail (10am-6pm)

• Decades: Christmas in July Celebration (all weekend long)
  • Special Holiday Sangria Cocktail: benefiting Lancaster Food Hub
  • Special Gingerbread Man Ice Cream Flavor & other festivities.

Saturday July 29th: Giving Trail (10am – 6pm)

• Decades: Santa Visit (12pm-4pm) + specials mentioned above.

Schedule: Nonprofits will be stationed at Lancaster Gift Box on 7/28 & 7/29
