“Extra” SNAP Benefits are Ending – WIC Can Help – Community Action Partnership

Starting in March 2023, participants will no longer get “extra” SNAP benefits, also known as Emergency Allotments. During the pandemic, you should have gotten these “extra” benefits as a second payment loaded onto your EBT card toward the end of every month.

Participants will get their last “extra” payment in February 2023. After that, you will only get one SNAP payment on your EBT card each month. The amount should be the same as what you were getting for your first payment in February. This benefit amount is calculated based on household size, income, and certain deductions.
