It could be suggested that Juneteenth is one of the most significant dates on the calendar. It commemorates the true end of slavery in the United States and reminds us that, while chains have been broken and gains have been made, there is still critical work to be done.
Crispus Attucks Community Center serves as both a megaphone and haven for Black and Brown voices in Lancaster, and it is with great pride for honoring a historic past and building a thriving future that the Center is planning its third-annual Juneteenth Cultural Mixer, to be held Sunday, June 16, from 5-8 p.m. at the Center.
It is free to join for all our neighbors and the greater Lancaster community, and will feature food and beverage, including Saucy Boy from Spring House Brewing Company; live performances by local friends; and community connection and history. We are excited for you to join us!
