Lancaster County Head Start is offering its Home-Based program to families within the Conestoga Valley School District, Elanco School District, Lampeter-Strasburg School District, and Solanco School District!
What is the Home-Based Program?
- A school readiness program in which a qualified home-visitor comes to your home 1 time per week for 90 minutes to work with the parent/caregiver and child together. Our program follows the Parents As Teachers Curriculum.
- 2 Socialization days are offered per month – During this days the parent/caregiver accompanies the child to a classroom setting with other children/families. – A meal or snack is provided.
- This quality preschool program is for children ages 3 and 4 by September 1st.
- The family receives all the same comprehensive services that are offered by the Head Start program such as:
- Hearing Screenings
- Vision Screenings
- Family Goal Setting and Support
- Community Agency Referrals as needed
- Developmental Screenings and Referral Support as needed
